Description

A delicious Southern dessert made with ripe bananas and a buttery cobbler crust.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix sliced bananas with half of the sugar.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Top with the banana mixture.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before serving.
