Description
Kreatopita is a traditional Greek meat pie made with a flaky pastry crust and filled with seasoned ground meat.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1/2 cup olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned.
- Stir in parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
- Mix in feta cheese.
- Layer phyllo dough in a greased baking dish, brushing each layer with olive oil.
- Spread the meat mixture over the phyllo layers.
- Cover with more phyllo layers, brushing with olive oil.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Serve with a side salad.
- Can be made ahead and frozen.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
