Huli Huli Chicken is a Hawaiian grilled chicken dish with a sweet and tangy sauce.
Ingredients

- 4 chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, pineapple juice, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from marinade and grill for 6-8 minutes on each side.
- Brush with remaining marinade during grilling.
- Ensure chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Can be served with rice or salad.
- Adjust marinade sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
- Use chicken breasts for a leaner option.
