- 1 pound (450 grams) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chicken broth or white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until pink, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth or white wine, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir and let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
