Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450 grams) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) chicken broth or white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until pink, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in chicken broth or white wine, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir and let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
