- 1 package (3.4 oz) vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup dark rum

- 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
Instructions
- Prepare the bananas by peeling and slicing them into half-inch thick pieces.
- In a medium bowl, combine the vanilla pudding mix with 2 cups of milk and whisk until well blended. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
- In a large skillet, melt 1/4 cup of butter over medium heat, then add 1/2 cup of brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Add the sliced bananas and cook for 2-3 minutes. Pour in 1/4 cup of dark rum and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until bubbly and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a glass dish or individual cups, layer crushed vanilla wafers, the prepared pudding mixture, and the caramelized bananas. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
