Ingredients

  • Rolled oats: 1 cup (90 g)
  • All-purpose flour: 1 cup (120 g)
  • Brown sugar: 3/4 cup (150 g), packed
  • Unsalted butter: 1/2 cup (113 g), melted
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh apples: 2 medium, peeled, cored, and diced
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Baking powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Granulated sugar: 1/4 cup (50 g)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple filling by combining diced apples, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  2. Make the streusel topping by mixing rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt, then adding melted butter.
  3. Press the remaining oat mixture into the bottom of a greased 8×8-inch baking pan.
  4. Spread the apple filling evenly over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the reserved streusel topping over the apples.
