Description
A healthier version of traditional apple fritters made in an air fryer, featuring a crispy exterior and soft, apple-filled center.
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour: 2 cups (240 g)
- Granulated sugar: 1/4 cup (50 g) plus extra for dusting
- Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
- Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Milk: 1/2 cup (120 ml)
- Large eggs: 2
- Diced apples: 1 cup (about 2 medium apples)
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
- Powdered sugar: for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the apples by washing, peeling, coring, and chopping them into small pieces.
- Make the batter by mixing the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Combine the wet ingredients in a separate bowl and then mix with the dry ingredients.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Shape the fritters by dropping spoonfuls of batter into the air fryer basket.
- Air fry the fritters for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Dust the cooked fritters with powdered sugar while they are still warm.
Notes
- Choose firm and slightly tart apples for the best flavor.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to the batter.
