Description

A delightful dessert salad made with strawberries, pretzels, and cream cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups cold water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth.
  6. Fold in whipped topping.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  8. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water.
  9. Add cold water and stir.
  10. Add sliced strawberries to the gelatin mixture.
  11. Pour the gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  12. Refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.

Notes

  • Ensure the pretzel crust is completely cool before adding the cream cheese layer.
  • You can use fresh or frozen strawberries.
  • For a sweeter taste, adjust the sugar in the cream cheese mixture.
