- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add flour and whisk continuously for 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually add vegetable broth, whisking to prevent lumps.
- Stir in soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat on low heat, adding water if needed to thin.
