Description

A simple recipe for vegan bounty bars that mimic the classic chocolate coconut treat.


Ingredients

  • 200g desiccated coconut
  • 150g coconut milk
  • 100g maple syrup
  • 200g dark chocolate (vegan)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix desiccated coconut, coconut milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until combined.
  2. Press the mixture into a lined baking dish to form a bar shape.
  3. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour until firm.
  4. Once set, cut into bars.
  5. Melt dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler.
  6. Dip each bar into the melted chocolate, coating thoroughly.
  7. Place bars on parchment paper and let the chocolate set.
  8. Store in the fridge until ready to serve.
