Description

A delightful combination of fried chicken and macaron bouquets perfect for Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 20 assorted macarons

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 2 hours.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Arrange macarons in a bouquet style for serving.
