Ingredients

  • 4 ripe plums, pitted and sliced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter and brown sugar in a pan, then pour into a cake pan.
  3. Arrange sliced plums over the sugar mixture.
  4. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. In another bowl, beat eggs and add vanilla and milk.
  6. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  7. Pour batter over plums in the pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
