Ingredients

- 4 ripe plums, pitted and sliced
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter and brown sugar in a pan, then pour into a cake pan.
- Arrange sliced plums over the sugar mixture.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and add vanilla and milk.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients.
- Pour batter over plums in the pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
Notes
- Use ripe plums for best flavor.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra delight.
