Ingredients

- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the rice and sauté for 2-3 minutes until slightly toasted.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and stir in chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- For a vegetarian option, use vegetable broth.
- Can be served with grilled meats or as a standalone dish.
