A popular appetizer from Texas Roadhouse featuring spicy cheese and jalapeños.
Ingredients

- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup jalapeños, chopped
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and jalapeños.
- Form the mixture into small balls.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each ball into the beaten egg, then coat with the flour mixture, and finally dip in breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the balls until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust jalapeño quantity to taste.
- Try serving with ranch dressing.
