A delicious layered dessert featuring strawberries, cream, and cake.

- 2 cups strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pound sponge cake, cubed
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberries by washing and slicing them.
- In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Layer half of the sponge cake cubes in a trifle dish.
- Spread half of the strawberry jam over the cake cubes.
- Add half of the whipped cream on top.
- Add half of the sliced strawberries on top of the cream.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Chill the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
- You can substitute sponge cake with ladyfingers.
- For a richer flavor, add a splash of liqueur to the strawberries.
