Description

A delicious layered dessert featuring strawberries, cream, and cake.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pound sponge cake, cubed
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries by washing and slicing them.
  2. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  3. Layer half of the sponge cake cubes in a trifle dish.
  4. Spread half of the strawberry jam over the cake cubes.
  5. Add half of the whipped cream on top.
  6. Add half of the sliced strawberries on top of the cream.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Chill the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
  • You can substitute sponge cake with ladyfingers.
  • For a richer flavor, add a splash of liqueur to the strawberries.
