Ingredients

- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strawberry puree
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for filling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Sift almond flour and powdered sugar together.
- Whip egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar and cream of tartar.
- Beat until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in the dry ingredients and vanilla extract.
- Pipe the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let them rest for 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Prepare filling by mixing strawberry puree, butter, and powdered sugar.
- Sandwich two shells with the filling.
Notes
- Ensure egg whites are at room temperature.
- Use fresh strawberries for the puree.
- Let macarons cool completely before filling.
