Description

Delicious strawberry honey custard tarts with a buttery crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, butter, powdered sugar, and salt.
  3. Add egg yolk and mix until dough forms.
  4. Press the dough into tart pans.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes until golden.
  6. In a saucepan, heat honey, cream, and milk until warm.
  7. Whisk eggs and vanilla in a bowl.
  8. Slowly add the warm mixture to the eggs, whisking continuously.
  9. Pour custard into tart shells.
  10. Bake for 25 minutes until set.
  11. Let cool and top with strawberries.
