A simple spaetzle recipe for homemade German noodles.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Boil water in a large pot.
- Use a spaetzle maker or colander to press dough into boiling water.
- Cook until spaetzle floats, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
- In a pan, melt butter and sauté spaetzle for added flavor.
Notes
- Serve with cheese or gravy.
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 days.
