Delicious bagels made using sourdough discard.
Ingredients

- 2 cups sourdough discard
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine sourdough discard, flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda.
- Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a ball and poke a hole in the center to form a bagel.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Boil each bagel for 1-2 minutes.
- Place the boiled bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Enjoy with your favorite toppings.
