Description

Snickerdoodle blondies are a delightful twist on the classic snickerdoodle cookie, combining rich, buttery flavor with warm cinnamon sugar. They are soft, chewy, and easy to share, making them a perfect dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (226 grams), melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar (220 grams)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100 grams)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (240 grams)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cinnamon sugar topping)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for cinnamon sugar topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Cream together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs one at a time and mix well, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually combine the dry mixture with the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Prepare the cinnamon sugar topping by mixing granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Pour the blondie batter into the prepared pan, spread evenly, and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and texture.
  • Avoid overmixing the batter to keep blondies soft and chewy.
  • Adjust baking time for chewier blondies by checking at the 25-minute mark.
