Description

Juicy hamburger steak smothered in rich onion gravy.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form mixture into patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. Add sliced onions to the skillet and sauté until soft.
  6. Sprinkle flour over onions and stir for 1 minute.
  7. Gradually add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly.
  8. Bring to a simmer and return patties to the skillet.
  9. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
  10. Serve hot with gravy over patties.
