Description

Delicious slow cooker French onion meatballs with rich flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. Form mixture into meatballs.
  3. Place meatballs in slow cooker.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix beef broth and French onion soup mix. Pour over meatballs.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  6. In the last 30 minutes, sprinkle mozzarella cheese over meatballs and cover until melted.

Notes

  • Serve with crusty bread or over pasta.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Can freeze cooked meatballs for up to 2 months.
