- 1 lb ground lamb or beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned.
- Add onion, carrots, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add frozen peas and season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish.
- Spread mashed potatoes over the meat mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Notes
- You can use leftover meat or vegetables.
- For a vegetarian version, use lentils or mushrooms.
- Top with cheese for extra flavor.
