Description

Salisbury steak meatballs are a hearty dish made from ground beef, seasoned and cooked in a savory gravy.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs.
  3. In a skillet, brown the meatballs on all sides.
  4. Remove meatballs and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the broth, stirring until thickened.
  7. Add the meatballs back to the skillet and cook for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with gravy over the meatballs.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
  • You can add mushrooms to the gravy for extra flavor.
