Description
Delicious red velvet cinnamon rolls topped with cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add melted butter, sugar, egg, cocoa powder, red food coloring, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour and salt. Knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.
- Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar. Spread over warm rolls.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use buttermilk instead of regular milk.
- Adjust the amount of red food coloring to achieve desired color.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
