Description
Soft and fluffy red velvet cinnamon rolls with a sweet cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons red food coloring
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for frosting consistency)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm. Add to dry ingredients.
- Mix in egg, food coloring, and cocoa powder until smooth.
- Knead dough until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top.
- Roll up the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased pan and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- For frosting, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough milk for desired consistency.
- Spread frosting on warm rolls and serve.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring for better color.
- Ensure milk is warm, not hot, when mixing.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
