Description
A delightful twist on the traditional tiramisu, combining the rich flavors of fall with creamy mascarpone cheese, pumpkin spice, and bold espresso.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup espresso (cooled)
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
- 24 ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
- Cocoa powder (for dusting)
Instructions
- Brew 1 cup of espresso and let it cool to room temperature. Optionally, add a splash of coffee liqueur.
- In a large mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add 1/2 cup of sugar and continue whipping until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, mix 1 cup of mascarpone cheese, 1 cup of pumpkin puree, and 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice until smooth.
- Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso and layer them in a dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
- Use high-quality mascarpone cheese for the best texture.
- Opt for pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
- Store in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days for optimal flavor.
- Consider alternative flavors like chocolate or chai spice for variations.
