Description

A delicious dessert made with fresh plums and apples topped with a crumbly mixture.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups of plums, pitted and sliced
  • 2 cups of apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced plums and apples.
  3. Add half of the brown sugar to the fruit and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, mix the remaining brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Spread the fruit mixture in a baking dish.
  7. Top with the crumble mixture evenly.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
  • Use any variety of apples as desired.
  • Add nuts for extra crunch if you like.
