Description

A flavorful and tender pepper steak made in a crock pot.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of flank steak, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Brown the flank steak on both sides.
  3. Transfer the steak to the crock pot.
  4. Add bell pepper, onion, and garlic on top of the steak.
  5. In a bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, and cornstarch.
  6. Pour the mixture over the steak and vegetables.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  9. Stir before serving.

Notes

  • Serve over rice or noodles.
  • You can add other vegetables like mushrooms or carrots.
