Description

A delicious twist on traditional bread pudding featuring pecans and rich flavors.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups of day-old bread, cubed
  • 1 cup of pecans, chopped
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes and chopped pecans.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and pecans, stirring to combine.
  5. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes to absorb.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  7. Drizzle maple syrup on top.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
