Ingredients

- 4 cups of day-old bread, cubed
- 1 cup of pecans, chopped
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes and chopped pecans.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and pecans, stirring to combine.
- Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes to absorb.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Drizzle maple syrup on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
- Can be made a day ahead and reheated.
