Description
A warm and wholesome breakfast dish made with oats, pears, and walnuts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water or milk
- 1 ripe pear, diced
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a pot, bring water or milk to a boil.
- Add oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in diced pear and cinnamon. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup.
- Top with chopped walnuts before serving.
Notes
- Use any type of pear you prefer.
- Adjust sweetness to your liking.
- For added flavor, add vanilla extract.
