Description

A warm and wholesome breakfast dish made with oats, pears, and walnuts.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water or milk
  • 1 ripe pear, diced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring water or milk to a boil.
  2. Add oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in diced pear and cinnamon. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup.
  5. Top with chopped walnuts before serving.

Notes

  • Use any type of pear you prefer.
  • Adjust sweetness to your liking.
  • For added flavor, add vanilla extract.
