Ingredients

- 4 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.
- Stir in the brown sugar and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add the balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool.
- Store in a jar and refrigerate.
Notes
- This jam pairs well with cheeses and meats.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
- Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
