A creamy and delicious avocado pesto without nuts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut avocados in half and remove the pit.
- Scoop the flesh into a food processor.
- Add basil, garlic, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and lemon juice.
- Blend until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve with pasta, bread, or as a dip.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Use within 2 days for best flavor.
- Can substitute nutritional yeast for a vegan option.
