Description

Crispy and cheesy mozzarella sticks that are perfect for snacking.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 12 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the workspace with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  2. Dip each mozzarella stick in flour, then in eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  3. Place the coated sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot over medium heat.
  5. Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm with marinara sauce.

Notes

  • Freezing the sticks helps them maintain shape while frying.
  • You can use different types of cheese if desired.
