Ingredients
- Fresh corn on the cob: 4 ears
- Water: 1 cup
- Butter: 4 tablespoons (1 tablespoon per ear)
- Salt: to taste
- Pepper: to taste
Instructions
- Select fresh corn with bright green husks and plump kernels.
- Husk the corn and rinse it under cold water.
- In a microwave-safe dish, pour in 1 cup of water and stand the corn upright in the dish.
- Cover the dish (if possible) and microwave on high for 4-6 minutes for 2 ears, adding 1-2 minutes for each additional ear.
- Carefully remove the dish from the microwave and let the corn cool for a minute.
- Add 1 tablespoon of butter to each ear and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
