Description

A simple recipe for glazed carrots without maple syrup.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

  3. Sprinkle in the brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the water and bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover the skillet and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove the lid and cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the carrots are tender and glazed.
  7. Serve warm.
