- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds or hazelnuts)
- 1/4 cup candied orange peel
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar for icing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter and honey together in a saucepan.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and spices.
- Add the melted mixture and egg to the dry ingredients.
- Stir in the nuts and candied orange peel.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- Let them cool, then ice with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- These cookies taste better after a day or two.
