Description

Italian stuffed cabbage rolls are savory rolls filled with a mixture of meat, rice, and spices, wrapped in tender cabbage leaves.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and blanch cabbage leaves for 2 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
  5. Place rolls seam-side down in a baking dish.
  6. Pour tomato sauce over the rolls.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove foil, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
