  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 4 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the beef short ribs dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until well blended.
  3. If desired, brown the ribs in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side, then place them in the slow cooker.
