Description

A comforting dish featuring rigatoni pasta in a creamy sausage sauce.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook rigatoni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add diced onion and cook until translucent.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned.
  6. Stir in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth.
  8. Add cooked rigatoni to the sauce and mix well.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
