Description

Healthy halibut with a classic beurre blanc sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 halibut fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season halibut fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Cook halibut for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  4. Remove halibut and keep warm.
  5. In the same pan, add shallots and sauté until translucent.
  6. Add white wine and reduce by half.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for 2 minutes.
  8. Whisk in butter until melted and smooth.
  9. Add lemon juice and season to taste.
  10. Serve halibut topped with beurre blanc and garnish with parsley.
