Description

A hearty and creamy ground beef stroganoff served over noodles.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles

Instructions

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onions and garlic to the skillet. Cook until soft.
  4. Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
  5. Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Mix flour with a little water to make a slurry. Stir into the skillet.
  7. Reduce heat and add sour cream. Stir until heated through.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
  • You can add peas for extra vegetables.
  • Adjust seasoning to your preference.
