Description

General Tso’s Chicken is a popular Chinese dish featuring crispy chicken coated in a sweet and spicy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Coat chicken pieces in cornstarch.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry chicken until golden and cooked through.
  5. Remove chicken and set aside.
  6. Add sauce mixture to the pan and bring to a boil.
  7. Add chicken back to the pan and toss to coat.
  8. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and green onions before serving.
