- 1 lb (450 g) sirloin steak: Cut into bite-sized pieces.
- 2 medium zucchinis: Sliced into half-moons.
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter: For the garlic butter sauce.
- 4 cloves garlic: Minced.
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves: Or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme.
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary: Chopped, or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary.
- Salt and pepper: To taste.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil: For cooking.
- Fresh parsley: Chopped, for garnish.
Instructions
- Pat the sirloin steak pieces dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Slice the zucchinis into half-moons.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the zucchini for 3-4 minutes.
- Push the zucchini to one side of the skillet, add butter and minced garlic to the other side, and let it melt.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet, toss everything together, and sprinkle with thyme and rosemary.
Notes
- For a different flavor, consider using ribeye or filet mignon instead of sirloin.
- Ensure not to overcrowd the pan when searing the steak for the best crust.
