Description

Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Zucchini is a delightful dish that combines tender steak and fresh vegetables, creating a mouthwatering experience perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) sirloin steak: Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • 2 medium zucchinis: Sliced into half-moons.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter: For the garlic butter sauce.
  • 4 cloves garlic: Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves: Or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme.
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary: Chopped, or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary.
  • Salt and pepper: To taste.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil: For cooking.
  • Fresh parsley: Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions

  1. Pat the sirloin steak pieces dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Slice the zucchinis into half-moons.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the zucchini for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Push the zucchini to one side of the skillet, add butter and minced garlic to the other side, and let it melt.
  7. Return the cooked steak to the skillet, toss everything together, and sprinkle with thyme and rosemary.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, consider using ribeye or filet mignon instead of sirloin.
  • Ensure not to overcrowd the pan when searing the steak for the best crust.
  • Feel free to swap zucchini with other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
