  • Spaghetti: 250 grams (about 8 ounces)
  • Large shrimp: 400 grams (about 14 ounces), peeled and deveined
  • Unsalted butter: 100 grams (about 7 tablespoons)
  • Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice: from 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley: 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt: to taste
  • Black pepper: to taste
  • Red pepper flakes: optional, to taste
  • Lemon wedges: for serving
  • Whole garlic cloves: for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients: peel and devein shrimp, mince garlic, and chop parsley.
  2. Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and half of the butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
