Description
Frozen Watermelon Pops are a refreshing and healthy summer treat made with simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups watermelon: Seedless and fresh for the best flavor.
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup: Optional, adjust for sweetness.
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice: Adds a zesty kick.
- Fresh mint leaves: Optional for garnish.
- Wooden popsicle sticks: Essential for holding the pops together.
Instructions
- Select a ripe watermelon that feels heavy for its size.
- Wash the watermelon, cut it in half, then into quarters, and remove the rind. Chop the flesh into cubes.
- Blend the watermelon cubes with honey or agave syrup and lime juice until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, filling them three-quarters full, and insert popsicle sticks.
- Freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours, preferably overnight.
- To remove the pops, run warm water over the molds for a few seconds, then gently pull on the sticks.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in other fruits like strawberries or blueberries.
- Experiment with different sweeteners like maple syrup or stevia.
- Store pops in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn.
