Description

Frozen Watermelon Pops are a refreshing and healthy summer treat made with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups watermelon: Seedless and fresh for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup: Optional, adjust for sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice: Adds a zesty kick.
  • Fresh mint leaves: Optional for garnish.
  • Wooden popsicle sticks: Essential for holding the pops together.

Instructions

  1. Select a ripe watermelon that feels heavy for its size.
  2. Wash the watermelon, cut it in half, then into quarters, and remove the rind. Chop the flesh into cubes.
  3. Blend the watermelon cubes with honey or agave syrup and lime juice until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, filling them three-quarters full, and insert popsicle sticks.
  5. Freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. To remove the pops, run warm water over the molds for a few seconds, then gently pull on the sticks.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider mixing in other fruits like strawberries or blueberries.
  • Experiment with different sweeteners like maple syrup or stevia.
  • Store pops in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn.
