Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add onions, sugar, and salt, then cook until soft and caramelized.
  4. Stir in thyme and cook for another minute.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together cream and eggs.
  6. Add caramelized onions to the cream mixture.
  7. Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
  8. Sprinkle Gruyère cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until set and golden.
