Description

A popular Filipino dish made of thin pastry filled with meat and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup minced green beans
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 pack lumpia wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground pork, carrots, green beans, onions, soy sauce, and water.
  2. Mix until well combined.
  3. Take a lumpia wrapper and place a spoonful of the mixture on one edge.
  4. Roll the wrapper tightly, folding the sides in as you go.
  5. Seal the end with a bit of water.
  6. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry the lumpia until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with sweet and sour sauce or vinegar dip.
  • Can be made ahead and frozen before frying.
