Description
A simple recipe for making seitan teriyaki at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup seitan, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add the seitan.
- Pour the sauce over the seitan and cook for 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water and add to the pan.
- Stir until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
- Serve with rice or noodles.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
