A fun and festive recipe for Easter cutout cookies that you can decorate with icing.
Ingredients

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and extracts to the butter mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until combined.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool before decorating.
Notes
- You can use different extracts for flavor variations.
- Decorate cookies with royal icing or sprinkles.
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
